The layout closely follows the contours of the natural terrain, giving the impression that this course is naturally occurring. The course sits in the hills inland above the Pacific Ocean, The Preserve is an inland mountain meadow creation.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,836 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,081 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 571 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 16, a par-3 that plays to 141 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 4, a 562-yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Preserve Golf Course is # 16, the 141 yard par-3.
